Privacy Policy

Plug PCs ("we", "us") operates a public catalog that helps you compare computers across brands and click through to buy from manufacturers and retailers. This policy explains what we collect and how advertising and affiliate links work. We keep data collection to a minimum and never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Browsing. You can browse, search and compare without an account. We don't ask for your name or address.
- Feedback you submit. If you use the Feedback button we store your message and, only if you choose to provide it, your email address, so we can follow up.
- Outbound clicks. When you click a "where to buy" link we record an anonymous event (which source was clicked) to understand which referrals are useful. It isn't tied to your identity.
- Server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to serve and secure the site.
Cookies & advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our site and others.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's policies.
Affiliate links & affiliate-network tracking
Some outbound links to manufacturers and retailers are affiliate links, served through affiliate networks. The networks we work with are CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction LLC, part of Publicis Groupe), impact.com (Impact Tech, Inc.), Awin (AWIN AG), and FlexOffers (FlexOffers.com, LLC).
How the tracking works. When you click an affiliate link, your browser passes through the network's own domain on the way to the retailer, and the network places a cookie on your device at that moment so the retailer can credit the referral to us. If you then buy something, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Browsing Plug PCs does not set an affiliate referral cookie; only clicking an affiliate link does. Separately, for visitors outside the EEA and the UK, our pages may load these networks' on-page scripts: impact.com's measurement "publisher tag", and, when the corresponding program is active, CJ's Deep Link Automation, Awin's Publisher MasterTag, or FlexOffers' FlexLinks. These measure how often affiliate links are viewed and clicked and convert eligible merchant links into tracked affiliate links; they may use cookies or similar identifiers as described in each network's privacy policy. Affiliate relationships never affect the specifications we show or how products are ranked or ordered.
Each network describes the data it collects, how it uses it, and how to exercise your rights in its own notice: CJ Affiliate, impact.com, Awin, and FlexOffers. You can avoid affiliate cookies entirely by not using our outbound "where to buy" links, by blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or by clearing cookies after visiting.
Advertising measurement (Reddit Pixel)
We advertise Plug PCs on Reddit, and for visitors outside the EEA and the UK our pages load the Reddit Pixel, a measurement script from Reddit, Inc. It reports page visits, product-page views, and outbound "where to buy" clicks back to Reddit as anonymous ad-conversion events, so we can tell whether those ads are useful. We do not send Reddit your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you directly. Reddit describes its use of this data in the Reddit Privacy Policy, and you can limit ad personalization in your Reddit privacy settings.
Visitors in the EEA and the UK
We do not yet operate a consent-management platform, so we do not serve affiliate tracking links to visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and we do not load any affiliate-network or ad-measurement script (impact.com's publisher tag, the Reddit Pixel, CJ's Deep Link Automation, Awin's Publisher MasterTag, FlexOffers' FlexLinks) for those visitors. If you are browsing from those regions, our outbound links point straight at the manufacturer or retailer, no affiliate network sits in between, and no affiliate or ad-measurement cookie is set. Should that ever change, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
How we use information
We use feedback to improve the catalog and to reply to you, and aggregate click data to understand which sources shoppers find useful. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers that run the site (Google for advertising, Reddit for ad-conversion measurement, Cloudflare for hosting and security, and our affiliate networks CJ Affiliate, impact.com, Awin and FlexOffers for affiliate-link measurement and click tracking, as described above) and with the retailers and manufacturers you choose to visit. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Opt out of personalized ads using the links above.
- Avoid affiliate cookies by not clicking outbound "where to buy" links.
- Don't include an email when sending feedback if you'd prefer to stay anonymous.
- Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. We hold very little: unless you emailed us or chose to leave an address with feedback, we have no way to identify you. To make a request, or to ask what we hold, email support@plugpcs.com. Children
Plug PCs is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
