How a remote support session works

Before we connect
- Get in line first. Send a request through the form, or call/text. Nobody connects to your computer out of the blue.
- We agree on a time. I'll reply with your place in line and an ETA. Remote sessions are often the same or next day.
- Have the device ready: turned on, plugged in, and connected to the internet.
Starting the session
- When it's your turn I'll contact you and send a one-time connection link or a short code.
- You open it and approve the connection. Nothing happens until you say yes.
- You'll see everything I do on your screen the whole time, and you can move the mouse or end the session at any moment.
You're always in control. The connection only works while the app is open on your screen, and closing it instantly cuts off my access.
During the session
- I talk you through what I'm doing as I go.
- I never need your banking or credit-card passwords to fix a computer.
- If a password is needed (your Windows PIN, Wi-Fi, an app login), you type it, not me.
Scam warning. I only connect when you asked for help. If someone calls you claiming your computer is infected and needs remote access, hang up, whoever they say they are. Any pop-up with a phone number in it is a scam. I will never cold-call you or ask for gift cards, crypto or a banking login. More on spotting these scams.
